Given me confidence to continue in this career, and possibly take it further.

I have just completed my NVQ level 3 in Children and young people work force.

I left school in 1988 with only GCSE’s in English and Music, and have never done any further education. I have been an entertainer since 1989, and also ran my own business (a musical instrument shop) for 17 years, and closed the shop in 2017.

I was still very busy around the club circuit until….COVID struck!

I found myself having to re think my future, and secured a job working with care leavers in the north west, which is something I never thought that I would be doing, and with absolutely no experience.

My manager enrolled me on the course, and I am so glad that she did. I have found my tutor Julie Fox to be fantastic in encouraging me along the way, and always answering any questions I may have promptly, and explaining things and breaking them down for me to better understand, while giving me constructive criticism on what I need to improve.

I feel that I have really learned so much from this course, and this has given me confidence to continue in this career, and possibly take it further.

I found the course very easy to navigate around and the ability to check my progress along the way has been really encouraging in pushing me on.

So at the tender age of 50 I have a qualification!  😊

Thank you so much Julie and who knows, maybe I might do a level 5….

Kind Regards

Kathy.
