Conduct and professionalism is exemplary

I feel that the conduct and professionalism set out by Julie is exemplary, there are clear guidelines and expectations from the outset in relation to respective study and a clearly defined plan in  which learners are made aware of their role in relation to course topic. Julie has undertaken many pre- study consultations with Learners in ensuring that learning agreements are established, time lines for submission of completed work are identified and consideration to recognise the commitment. During learning there are commonly study setback and blockages for all learners which Julie will work with individuals in overcoming such barriers, in addition to this Julie will share information with the Learners respective line manager in sourcing holistic ways in supporting the success of the process. This is something that I have found  uncommon in self led study with previous providers but must stress the intervention at such points has significantly improved the learners ability not only to cope with the context of study but furthermore professionalise their understanding how this is employed in practice.

I feel that the course study been undertaken with respective colleagues has provided significant value to operational practice, professional dialogue, not only in house but with external parties, representing the organisation in a manner in which high standards are recognised. Professional practice as a result has significantly improved, output and recording evidence has improved as a result and findings through learning are more considered in which individuals are more reflective in practice and pragmatic in their approach. I have multiple staff who have expressed their views on progressing within the industry, however, given their role would not require to undertake study at Level 5. Julie has afforded this option to individuals to invest in own learning and apply vocational observations in ensuring respective aims are achieved whilst underpinning this with theoretical study. This has now seen six members current Team of Residential Support Workers qualify at this level,  all of which have not been required to undertake as part of regulation but have recognised that the support of the Level 5 and mentoring by Julie has seen each individual progress within their careers.

I have found Julie extremely flexible and accessible in all facets of support, this is both face to face and by telephone consultation sharing information with line managers in showing how they can equally observe and support learning.

Training and mentoring has not only instilled increased professionalism in operational practice but has furthermore seen the quality of work output thrive, this has been certainly reflected by independent regulators and Local Authority parliamentary members. This is testament to how Julie has supported learning and equally extracted leadership qualities from individuals.

I feel that Julie is extremely amenable and professional in all areas of practice, solution focused and consistently reliable. There has never been any points that support has been declined and Julies forward thinking has eliminated any setback in relation to agreed time frames. As highlighted previously this is something that can be a compromised and in some circumstances excused, I can confidently state that my professional link with Julie over the past seven years this has never been the case.

Julie has extensive knowledge in management areas and within respective work environments in which a personal approach is evident, recognising people individual talents and skills and how this can not only correlate to the body of learning but how each style can complement operational practice. On reflection and observations of the staff team I am responsible for, it is evident that through the support and learning Julie employs that not only has individual performance improved but importantly the confidence of people and their tenacity to make effective change.
