I have known Julie on a professional level since 2015 in which Julie was my NVQ assessor within a residential children’s home. My primary role at this time was a Residential Support Worker but had ambitions to progress within the sector into a senior position and management. I was very much at the infancy of my career when Julie became by assessor and very much had little experience within this sector. Julie enrolled me on my Level 3 leadership and management course, and at this time Julie played a significant role in my development to ensure I got through this qualification. I would often present a challenge in my academic learning to which Julie was able to build positive relationships with myself and show commitment to improve my knowledge and ensure I got through this qualification swiftly.

After successfully completing my Leadership and Management level 3, Julie had enabled me to understand and see that I would be able to make a career within this sector, so I self-funded my leadership & management level 5 through Julie company. This was successfully completed with Julie within under 10 months. Julie is flexible, contactable and a person who is very much approachable and reliable person.

I am now successfully a deputy manager within this residential children’s home sector, and Julie is someone who has played a big part within my development. Julie now works within my children’s home and is actively involved my staff development and is a person who takes great pride every day to ensure an open and honest culture is created with her learners to ensure they get the best outcome. Julie makes people feel valued and can understand people’s strengths and weakness is able to adapt to support them.

Julie is someone who will be that person who can make a difference to a person but also can make a positive impact on a service.  Julie offered advice support and offers solutions for different approaches and outcomes. I very much still use Julie for advice support and information she may have as I very much value her opinion.
